What is Teaching Space.com? 

TeachingSpace.com is a live online tutoring site that helps betters students ability in 18 academic disciplines and 93 topics.. Registered students can interact one-on-one with an Online Teacher who will tutor or clear up any difficulties in subject areas dictated by the students.  

Besides the live communication, students can post problems, submit essays, and get a response from the Online Teacher in that discipline. There's also an unlimited access to our Solutions Library FREE and other learning features available to registered users. 

How does Teaching Space work? 

Teaching Space allows students communicate one-on-one with an Online Teacher, post a problem, and submit an essay for review. A student needs the permission of his parent to sign up.(17 and Under) The parent or guardian will initiate the account and a student login for their ward. A main account holder has more privileges than a student login.  

Is Teaching Space for all students? 

Teaching Space has designed its service for students between the 4th grade  up to  college level. Lessons are provided in 18 subjects and 93 topics.

 
How long will it take for my child's results to improve at school?

Your child will start improving significantly almost immediately. Your child will be more confident and show improved academic skills and results according to their learning abilities.

Do you recommend continuing tutoring services over the summer months?

Our education experts always advise  parents to give the opportunity to your child to get academic support throughout the year and consider enrichment programs in Math and Language Arts over the summer. Research shows that over the summer children forget almost 50% of the learned contents. Summer months are also the perfect time to focus on academic weaknesses and great time to study Test Preparations.

How I decide what tutoring plan is best for my child?

Teaching Space has plans that is right for you and fits your goals and your budget.  If you are looking for one time homework help, the submit your questions link will get it done.  If you are looking for review or enrichment within a subject or subjects, then we recommend picking the unlimited monthly plan.  We also have cost-effective 3 month, 6 month, and 12 month plans.  Please contact principal@teachingspace.com  if you are interested in any of these, or you can select these while you are checking out.

Do you work with learning disabled or special needs children?

Yes, our tutors receive special training to understand their needs and how to adapt each tutoring session to ensure your child’s success. Our tutors modify the teaching plan within subjects to meet your child’s needs.


How do I get started? 

To get started, you need to sign up. Once you have signed up, you can connect with an Online Teacher, post a question, submit an essay or use our solutions library.  

How much does it cost to sign up? 

It's free to sign up. You do not have to make any payments until you use up the time given on free trial.  

Can I get free tutoring? 

Please contact the principal of your school to see if you qualify for the No Child Left behind Program 

Does Teaching Space donate to any organization? 

Teaching Space is proud to announce that we support the (NAA)  National Autism Association and will donate 5% of all proceeds toward this wonderful organization. Online Teachers (OTs) 

Who are Online Teachers? 

Online Teachers are individuals who register to fill in the Online Teacher position on Teaching Space. The students pay for the services they provide.  

Are the Online Teachers Certified? 

All Online Teachers are screened, certified and verified with backround checks.

 Are the Online Teachers from the United States? 

Our Teachers are from the U.S. and all over the Globe. 

How do I view an OT's profile? 

You can view an OT's profile and ratings by clicking on their name. You will see their credentials and also the reviews they have received 

Can I give feedback to an OT? 

Yes. Feedback is important on Teaching Space and to the OT. 

Can I change feedback after it has been given? 

No.  

Can I reschedule a lesson with an OT? 

Some OT's will not allow you to reschedule unless it is prior to 24 hours of the lesson.  Make sure you contact the OT before hand so they aware of your rescheduling plans. 

How does an OT get paid? 

Teaching Space.com will pay an OT a part of the money received from students. 

How do I connect with an OT?

You connect with an OT through Skype, email and board messaging. Simply sign into your account and click on the "Connect" button (before doing so, be sure you have laid out your problem). 

Do I need software to connect to an OT?

Once your computer meets our system requirements, you do not need any software to connect with an OT. Teaching Space will direct you to any downloads that will be required to connect live with the teachers. (Skype)

Is there any other equipment required to connect to the OT?

Yes you will need a headset for the verbal aspect of the Instant Messaging and also for subjects that required a visual a web cam will be needed.

Can I take lessons above or below my real grade level?

A credit is the money used on Teaching Space. You purchase credit clinking on the credit links and buying the desired amount of credits via www.paypal.com you need for your session..

How much dollars is a credit worth?

One credit is worth $4.99 and 10 minutes of live tutoring.

What is your payment plan like?

Can I buy minutes in denominations other than the default?

Please contact the principal of Teaching Space  to arrange for this.

Does the Auto-Replenish option help?

With the auto-replenish option turned on, you never run out of minutes in the middle of a lesson. Once your account balance falls below 10 minutes, additional credit is automatically purchased.

How do I create an account?

Who is a main account holder?

A main account holder is the parent or guardian of a ward.

What is a main account?

The main account is an account controlled by a parent or guardian. But is used by the student for their lessons.

How do I update my account information?

When logged on, go to the Account Details page. From there, you are able to update your account information.

How do I retrieve my username?

For a main account holder, your username is the email address you used to open the account. If you are using student login

How do I retrieve my password?

If you are a main account holder, just click the Forgot my Password and enter your username. Your password would be sent to your email address.

For student login, the main account holder has to reset the password.

I enter my login information but it doesn't login.

Is customer service always available?

We are available Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Are there any system requirements for using Teaching Space.com?

Our system requirements are that your PC runs on Microsoft Windows XP or Vista with Internet Explorer 6, Opera 9 or higher and Adobe Flash Player 8.

What can I do when experiencing other technical problems?

Why do you collect payment details even for a free trial?

Payment details collected are a way to verify users signing up for free trial.

How much does an OT know about his student?

An OT is provided with the first name of his student.

When will the OT use their web cam to communicate with?

Teachers will only use the web cam on subjects that require them the use of a web cam ie math etc.

Is the student required to have a web cam?

No the student will never need to have a web cam to do their study lessons.

What happens when my schedule doesn't fit in?

You can contact an OT for a reschedule.

Do I have to use a whole hour every time I sign on?

No you don't.

Can I get a summary on previous lessons?

Yes, you can. Our summary provides you with a quick rundown of session data that is broken down by user, total number of sessions, average user rating and time in session in the last 7, 30 or 90 days.
